BANGOR – Josh Turner’s goal 1:17 into the third period snapped a 3-3 tie and gave the 11th-seeded Skowhegan High School Indians a 4-3 Eastern Maine Class A preliminary playoff hockey win over sixth seed John Bapst of Bangor at Sawyer Arena.

The line of Brett Bilodeau between left wing Turner and right wing Nolan Gagne combined for all four goals along with three assists.

Bilodeau had two goals and an assist, Turner had two assists to go with his goal and Gagne had a goal. Scott Holmes had an assist and Tom Hopkins stopped 27 shots for the 8-12 Indians, who will travel to play Edward Little of Auburn on Tuesday.

Zack Means had a pair of goals for the Crusaders and Jon Rudnicki had the other one. John Motta, Eric Penley and Jim Brown had assists for John Bapst and Dominic Dinardo finished with 18 stops.

Bapst wound up 6-12-1.
