DEER ISLE – Haystack Mountain School of Crafts is accepting applications for a two- or three-week Island Scholarship for a work-study student who also is

18 years old and a Deer Isle resident.

In return for tuition, room and board, the recipient will help in the school kitchen, library or with other tasks on campus, not to exceed three hours a day. The scholarship is funded by the Haystack scholarship endowment, created in 1987 to provide support for as many as 90 students each year.
