HOULTON – The Houlton Children’s Theatre will hold auditions for its spring musical, “The Golden Ghetto,” from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday at Southside School, open to those in grade two to adults from the Greater Houlton, Hodgdon and Woodstock, New Brunswick, areas.

Rehearsals will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. two or three afternoons each week, beginning on March 12, at the Greater Houlton Christian Academy. Performance of the musical will be on May 4 and 5.

To prepare for auditions, those interested should practice singing “Happy Birthday” and reciting the poem “Jack and Jill” with various emotions.

Houlton Children’s Theatre is a nonprofit organization not affiliated with the school system or any religious organization and supported entirely by volunteers and local contributions.
