BREWER – Maine Rep. Mary Ellen Ledwin, R-Holden, urges Penobscot County veterans to find their DD-214 forms they received at discharge so they may enroll for enhanced veteran health benefits at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 10, at Brewer High School.

At the meeting, representatives of the Veterans’ Administration will explain the new health care system and application process. Rep. Anita Haskell of Milford is coordinating with Veterans of Foreign Wars posts and Rep. Brian Duprey of Hampden is working with American Legion posts. Any veteran without health insurance or prescription drug coverage is encouraged to attend. Even those with insurance are encouraged to enroll.
