CUSHING – SAD 50 officials will discuss plans for a new school that would be located across from the Cushing Community School during a public hearing Wednesday.

An overview of the project will be discussed with an introduction to the plans by Superintendent John Dirnbauer. Principal Beth Chamberlin will talk about the shortcomings of the current school.

The 7 p.m. meeting at the Cushing school will include a slide presentation comparing three of SAD 50’s schools: Cushing Community, Lura Libby and St. George.

The planning committee will describe the proposed school, and SAD 50 business manager John Spear will outline the financial impact.
