FAIRFIELD – Kennebec Valley Technical College and the University of Maine at Fort Kent signed a new transfer agreement on Feb. 7.

For students graduating from KVTC’s associate in arts degree program, the agreement provides the opportunity for a transfer to UMFK baccalaureate degree programs, expanding graduate options in career choices.

Both institutions are members of the Community College Partnership.

The agreement was signed by UMFK President Charles Lyons and Carol Browne, vice president for academic affairs, and KVTC President Barbara Woodlee and Vice President Denis Normandin. KVTC has more than 30 similar agreements with other higher education institutions.
