BIDDEFORD – Girls from across the state will gather in southern Maine this weekend to vie for titles at the New England Regional Hockey Tournament.

One “Tier 1” team from each of five New England states (Massachusetts exists as its own region and will not attend) will compete for the regional crown in four age classifications. Games will be played in Biddeford and at the University of Southern Maine in Gorham.

Winners of the New England tourney will join winners of seven other regions from across the country in Blaine, Minn., for the national championship tournament.
