LAKE WALES, Fla. – Mike Worcester smacked a pinch-hit two-run double in the midst of a six-run fourth inning to lead Husson to an 11-6 baseball win over nationally-ranked Warner Southern on Thursday.
Tony Creek and Don Sawyer each had two RBI’s for 2-2 Husson of Bangor. Tony Laprino notched a double and an RBI, to go with two singles.

Pittsburgh 66, Notre Dame 54
NEW YORK – Pittsburgh threw a defensive curtain over All-American Troy Murphy and stunned Notre Dame 66-54 to advance to the semifinals of the Big East tournament.
The Panthers will face either Syracuse or Providence, who played in the second game of the night doubleheader.
Ricardo Greer led four Pitt players in double figures with 17 points as the Panthers (17-12) reached the tournament semifinals for the first time since 1989.
Murphy, averaging 22.6 points per game, managed just eight for the Irish (19-9). It was the second-lowest total of his career.
Boston College 93, Villanova 79
NEW YORK – Boston College punctuated its worst-to-first march through the Big East on Thursday, ripping Villanova 93-79 and advancing to the semifinals of the conference tournament.
BC, which went from 3-13 and last in the league a year ago to 13-3 this season, made 10 3-pointers. The 10th-ranked Eagles (24-4) will face Seton Hall on Friday night.
Troy Bell, the conference’s co-Player of the Year, led BC with 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting. Kenny Harley had 19, and Ryan Sidney added 13.
Ricky Wright was 9-of-9 from the field and scored 21 points to lead Villanova (18-12). Michael Bradley had 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Seton Hall 58, Georgetown 40
NEW YORK – Seton Hall, the team that didn’t clinch a spot in the Big East tournament until the last game of the regular season, advanced to the semifinals with a 58-40 victory over Georgetown.
The Pirates (16-13) opened the second half with a 24-3 run and held the Hoyas (23-7) to half their season scoring average in matching the fewest points ever allowed in a Big East tournament game.
Andre Barrett had 12 points to lead Seton Hall, which started the year ranked 10th in the preseason poll before going 5-11 in the conference. It is the Pirates’ first appearance in the semifinals since 1994.
Georgetown got two points from its starters in the second half and finished 17-for-58 from the field (29.3 percent).
St. Joseph’s 82, La Salle 74
PHILADELPHIA – Jameer Nelson set career highs with 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead St. Joseph’s to an 82-74 victory over La Salle and into the semifinals of the Atlantic 10 tournament.
Marvin O’Connor scored 16 points, and Damian Reid added 15 for St. Joseph’s (25-5), which will play Massachusetts in Friday night’s semifinals.
Rasual Butler scored 28 points to lead La Salle (12-17).
