Some of the results from the New England High School Track and Field Championships were incorrectly reported in a story in Friday’s editions. The following Maine athletes who finished among the top 10, along with their correct finishes, times and/or distances follow.

BOYS – In the 55-meter hurdles, Waterville’s Troy Irvine was third with a time of 7.64 seconds and South Portland’s Nate Thompson (7.72) was sixth. In the 1,000, Mount Ararat of Topsham’s Mark Swan (2:38.79) and Scarborough’s Darren Bennett (2:39.45) were eighth and ninth, respectively. Michael Downing of Gorham was second in the 1,600 in 4:22.98 and Patrick Tarpy of Yarmouth was second in the 3,200 with a 9:21.98. Jeff Gaudette of Biddeford (9:33.02) was seventh in the 3,200. In the long jump, Bret McIntyre of Brunswick was runnerup with a distance of 22 feet, 11 inches and South Portland’s Jesse Ludwig (21-6) was sixth. In the shot put, Brunswick’s Luke Caron (57-101/4) was second, Boothbay’s Matt Brown (54-83/4) was sixth, and Scarborough’s Drew Geant (53-83/4) was seventh. South Portland’s 800 relay team finished ninth (1:34.90) to round out Maine’s top 10 contingent.

GIRLS – Bridget Gagne of North Yarmouth Academy was second in the 1,000-meter run with a time of 2:56.12. In the 1,600, Mount View of Thorndike’s Audra Caler was fifth (5:11.21) and Brewer’s Heather Jovanelli was seventh (5:17.05). In the high jump, Danielle Zimmerman of Brunswick was tied for sixth with a height of 5-2. Anne Martin of Auburn’s Edward Little was 10th in the 3,200 in 11:34.32. Greely of Cumberland Center’s 800 relay team finished ninth in 1:50.57.
