PORTLAND – Greater Portland Landmarks presents the Old House Trade Show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 31, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 1, at the Stevens Avenue Armory, 722 Stevens Avenue, in Portland.

Now in its sixth year the Old House Trade Show is the only trade show in Maine offering products and services for preservation and restoration, showcasing the trades people, craftsmen, contractors and manufacturers whose work is inspired by traditional design and classic workmanship.

The Old House Trade Show will feature more than 40 exhibitors from masons to slate roofers, painting specialists to plaster restorers, fine wood workers to flooring experts, lighting and plumbing suppliers to architects, antique dealers and landscape experts.

Visitors can talk directly with the builders, designers and contractors, get answers to old and new house questions, take part in slide show presentations, discussions, workshops and hands-on demonstrations.

Admission is $6 per person and children under 12 are free.

The Victory Cafe and Bakery will offer food service throughout the show beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday with breakfast. There will be hot entrees, soups, salads and sandwiches for lunch, an assortment of desserts, and gourmet coffee to go.

Greater Portland Landmarks was founded in 1964 to enrich the quality of life in Portland and the surrounding communities by promoting the appreciation, preservation and appropriate use of historic structures and landscapes. Through educational programs, hands-on workshops, demonstration projects research and outspoken advocacy, Greater Portland Landmarks has come to be described as the “architectural conscience” of greater Portland.
