OLD TOWN – Joe Campbell of Bangor and Caribou’s James Sam each scored 22 points to lead the Big East North All-Stars to a 97-72 win over the South team Wednesday at MacKenzie Gym.

Campbell was named Most Outstanding Player in the game. Teammate Joe Vanidestine notched 20 points while Old Town’s Jason Robbins added 16. Hampden’s Adam Russell led the South with 13 points. Ned Payne of John Bapst had 10.

In the girls game, Bangor teammates Jlynn Frazier and Alison Smith had 15 points each to lead the North squad to a 69-60 win.

Frazier was the game’s Most Outstanding Player. Terra Curtis, also of Bangor, added 11 points, as did Presque Isle’s Melissa Blackstone.

Caribou’s Ashley Soucie led the South team with 17 points while Nokomis of Newport’s Laura Pelkey chipped in 15.
