PORTLAND – A New England business delegation will be bound in late April for France’s Brittany region in search of electronics, Internet service and application, telecom, information technologies and value-added manufacturing companies to create partnerships with Maine firms.
The project is a joint effort of Atlantica Group LLC, a Portland-based international consulting firm, and the MIRCEB, a government agency in Brittany that helps developing international markets.
Brittany is home to technology giants France Telecom, Sagem, Thomson, Alcatel, Mitsubishi, Lucent Technologies, Pirelli and many other smaller companies in technology industries. The organizers are seeking Maine business participants for the project, which departs April 21 and returns on April 25.
Part of the trip is supported by the government of Brittany. Participants will pay $1,500, which will include airfare, high-speed train to Brittany, accommodations, most meals and several business meetings with potential partners.
Those interested may contact Perry Newman at Atlantica Group at 775-1547 or by e-mail at pbn@atlanticagroup.com.
