CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Andy Tripp and Bill Goldman each laced RBI doubles in the bottom of the seventh to help the Colby White Mules rally for a 7-6 victory over the Middlebury Panthers Monday night.

Kevin Brunelle chipped in with a home run for the winners from Waterville.

Southern Maine splits two games

At Cape Coral, Fla., pitcher Erica Gagnon held Union College to three hits and no walks, leading the University of Southern Maine to the win in the first of two games for the Huskies.

Becky Manson hit a two-run homer for USM, while Beth Fulton, Darci Holland, and Katie True all had RBI singles.

Union’s Julie Cardettino rapped two singles.

In the second game, Amy Ferry had a two-run single for Wisconsin-Whitewater, scoring Debbie Meltz and Megan Kerkman. Ferry added another two-run single in the third inning.

Colby splits twinbill

At Cape Coral, Fla., the Colby White Mules rolled to a 16-2 victory over MIT behind Steph Greenleaf’s five-hitter in the second game of a doubleheader after suffering a 14-4 loss to Endicott in the first game.

Carrie Morin paced the White Mules of Waterville in the second game with three singles and two RBIs and Amy Lisavich added two singles and drove in two runs.

Marcy Wagner drove in three runs with a bases-loaded double for Colby in the first game.
