Maine Public Radio is to be commended for redoing its program schedule. Management listened, responded, admitted error; the board accepted responsibility for overseeing program direction; the Community Advisory Group analyzed the December programming, set criteria for evaluation and recommended changes; the staff worked rapidly to rebalance material and all Maine listeners can rejoice.

As Rob Gardiner, president of MPBC, said, “If we didn’t love MPR, we wouldn’t have been so angry.” Now its time to support the changes – and bring a friend to the opera.
