The Portland Sea Dogs will begin their eighth season of play on April 6 when they open at home against the Binghamton Mets.
Opening day festivities will include a tribute to long-time Portland city manager Bob Ganley. A special Sea Dogs uniform will be retired in Ganley’s honor.
Additionally several high school bands will join together to perform the National Anthem under the direction of Toshiyuki Shimada, conductor of the Portland Symphony Orchestra. A fireworks show will follow the game.
Tickets can be ordered by calling 879-9500, online at www.portlandseadogs.com, or by stopping the Ticket Office, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
