Albertus Magnus pounds UM-Presque Isle

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Vin Caruso cranked three home runs and Ryan Johnson blasted two to power Albertus Magnus College to a 24-0 baseball victory over the University of Maine-Presque Isle Monday.

Mark Sampieri added a triple and Nick Polco nailed two doubles for the Falcons.

Greg Ingalls, Jonathan Cole and Joshua Dillon each singled for the UMPI Owls.

Saint Joseph’s 7, Salem State 4

At Salem, Mass., Saint Joseph’s scored three runs in the top of the third inning to defeat Salem State.

Steve Osborne hit two doubles for St. Joe’s of Standish, one of which drove in the tying run in the eighth. Adam Newell chipped in with two singles.

Jim Tracy had two hits and two RBIs for Salem.
