PORTLAND, Maine – Delta Airlines will begin its long-delayed jet service between Portland and New York’s La Guardia airport May 15, the airline announced Thursday.
Delta also is launching the only jet service between Portland and Boston.
The flights that will restore jet links that lapsed when Delta withdrew larger jets on the routes in 1995.
Delta said it plans to offer three round-trip flights daily to both Logan International Airport and La Guardia.
The new Delta flights will be operated by its Atlantic Coast Jet subsidiary using the name “Delta Connection.”
