MEDFORD, Mass. – Steve Osborne blasted a solo home run to set a single-season school record for homers and helped St. Joseph’s defeat Bowdoin 3-2 in a college baseball contest Thursday afternoon.

Osborne’s 11th homer of the season broke the record of 10 held by Jesse LaCasse (2000), Peter McNally (1995), and John Kearney (1994).

LaCasse added a double for the Monks of Standish and Adam Newell and Justin Lambert each added two singles. Osborne also had an RBI single.

J.P. Hernandez singled twice for the Polar Bears of Brunswick.
