Sugarloaf/USA announced Thursday that it plans to extend its closing date to Sunday, April 29. Originally, the resort planned to close on April 22.
Heavy snow and busy ski trails helped in the decision to keep the mountain open longer. Sugarloaf/USA has received seven feet of snow in March alone, and more than 260 inches this season, topping their average yearly snowfall by 20 inches.
