Matt Reynolds

Matt Reynolds, a freshman at the University of Maine, has been selected as the America East rookie of the week. Reynolds batted .385 in a 4-1 week, hitting a solo home run in a 5-4 win over Harvard and a two-RBI double that tied a game against Hartford.

Don Sawyer

Don Sawyer, a senior at Husson College, has been named the Webber Energy player of the week. Sawyer had four hits in a win over St. Joseph’s and a 2-run homer in the ninth to seal the win.

Geoff Burnham

Geoff Burnham of Thomas College has been chosen as the Webber Energy pitcher of the week. Burnham, a senior, struck out 14 in 19 innings and threw a four-hitter against UM-Presque Isle.

Kati Morrell

Kati Morrell, a junior shortstop at Thomas College, has been named the Hammond Lumber player of the week. Morrell had 10 hits in 17 at bats during Thomas’s Florida trip.

Heather Marden

Heather Marden, a junior pitcher at the University of Maine at Farmington, has been selected as the Hammond Lumber player of the week. Marden pitched a one-hitter against Massachusetts Pharmacy.

Pat Toomey

Pat Toomey, a senior shortstop at the University of Southern Maine, has been named the Little East Conference player of the week. Toomey batted .565, with 10 runs, 14 RBIs, a walk, three stolen bases, two doubles and two home runs in a 5-1 week.
