The Maine Local Roads Center is sponsoring six work zone traffic control workshops around the state in April and early May. The workshops are aimed at local foremen and crew members, selectmen, road commissioners, town managers, public works directors, utility districts, private contractors and others working on public roads in Maine.

Sessions are scheduled for Wednesday, April 11, in Auburn; Thursday, April 12, in Rockport; Wednesday, April 18, in Saco; Monday, April 23, in Bangor; Monday, April 30, in Skowhegan; and Monday, May 7, in Caribou. The course includes legal liabilities; traffic control devices: flagging; traffic control zones and practice setting up work zones. The new 2001 Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices also will be covered. For more information call Peter Coughlan at 287-2152.
