Outlook: The Black Bears debut at Mahaney Diamond, soggy though it may be, after playing their first 29 games on the road. UMaine, which split its America East weekend series against Delaware, is prepping for this weekend’s key four-game homestand against Towson. The Bears are fine-tuning their retooled infield, where freshman shortstop Mark Reichley is the lone everyday regular. Division III Bowdoin, a member of the New England Small College Athletic Conference, has won four straight and eight of its last nine. The Polar Bears boast outstanding pitching with a 3.27 team ERA.
