Mayflower descendants to meet in Fort Fairfield

FORT FAIRFIELD – The Constance Hopkins Colony of the Maine Society of Mayflower Descendants will have its spring luncheon meeting at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at the VFW Hall on Presque Isle Street.

Before the meeting, there will be a reception for members and guests honoring state Mayflower Gov. Barbara Adams, of Cape Elizabeth, at the home of Ruth and Arthur Mraz. Other special guests in attendance will be state historian Judith Elfring of Yarmouth.

Adams will be program speaker and Elfring will be available to help prospective members with their lineage work. There also will be Mayflower-themed items for sale at the event. Prospective Mayflower members interested in attending the meeting should contact Roger Sprague at 472-5741.
