BLUE HILL – Jacob Lowell hit a single, a triple and had an RBI while Chris Sargent had a single, a double and an RBI to lead George Stevens Academy to a season-opening 6-5 win over Mount Desert Island Thursday.

Travis Bannister had two singles.

For Mount Desert Island, Brandon Colbeth had a single, a double, two RBIs and a solo home run that tied the game in the seventh. Derek Strout had a single and a double for an RBI.
