ROCKPORT ? For 30 years Bay Chamber Concerts has had an annual prize program to recognize, encourage and reward Maine music students ages 12-25 who are serious in their study and performance of music. Auditions are held at the historic Rockport Opera House. Classical auditions are scheduled for June 16 and jazz auditions for June 23.

This year’s panel of judges includes Mark Johnson, cellist with the Vermeer Quartet; Anthony Antolini, choral conductor and professor at Bowdoin College; and professor James Parakilas, author of “Piano Roles,” a recently published history of the piano from Yale University Press.

Applications, tapes and letters of recommendation for auditions must be submitted no later than May 15. For information, call 236-2823 or access the Web site, www.baychamberconcerts.org.
