PITTSFIELD – Police arrested a Pittsfield man last week on drug charges after his home on Detroit Avenue was searched under a warrant, according to a statement released by the Somerset County Sheriff’s Department on Monday night.

Craig S. Hunt, 41, was charged with trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine and furnishing cocaine, according to the statement sent by Detective Lt. Carl E. Gottardi II. The search warrant was executed about 7 p.m. Thursday, April 19.

Officers seized 39 individual packets of cocaine, scales, cocaine-related paraphernalia, documentation, $653 in cash, and a plastic bag containing cocaine, Gottardi reported. The cocaine amounted to more than 2 ounces.

Cocaine-related charges are expected to be made against a second person who was at Hunt’s residence, according to Gottardi.

Assisting Gottardi with the search warrant were Sheriff’s Department Warrant Team members Pete Boucher, Matt
