EAST MACHIAS – Miranda Fergerson doubled, singled and knocked in two runs to lead Washington Academy to a 5-4 softball victory over Machias.

Erica Dennison and Nicole Stauffer each had two singles for the Raiders.

For Machias, Amada Thibodeau had two singles and an RBI while Sarah Hussey batted in two with a triple.

At Sherman Station, Megan Libbey hit a two-run double in the third, helping give Katahdin the lead and the win.

K.C. Duffy-Stanley added a two-run single, also in the third, while Michaelene Duffy had a double and a single for three RBIs. K.C. Duffey-Stanley drove in three with two singles while Megan Libby had a double and a single. Krystle McMoran chipped in with two singles.

For Ashland, Amber Smith nailed a home run and a single while Amanda Martin had two singles.

At Fort Kent, Lindsay Dejardins led Madawaska with a triple and a single.

Clara Cyr had a single and a double while Sarah Dufour, Amy Roy and Kay Girard each had two singles.

Ashley Pelletier had a double and a single for Fort Kent.

At Presque Isle, Emily Cole hit a three-run triple helping give Houlton the win.

Valerie Lenentine had three singles while Danielle Hagerman hit a double and a single. Sarah Beasley and Anna Lenentine each had two singles for Houlton.

For Presque Isle, Sarah Belden, Lauren Wildeman and Ashley Putnam each had three singles.

At Dyer Brook, Kristi Brooker led Southern Aroostook with a double and two singles for four RBIs.

At Lee, the Pandas scored three runs in the fourth to set up the win.

With runners on second and third, Ashley Linscott’s drag bunt was fielded by the pitcher, whose throw went wide of first base, scoring both runners. Jessie Kuester then singled in Linscott. Crystal Moors picked up the win.

Beth Chase had a double and single for the Wolverines of East Millinocket. Lynn Farrington took the loss despite striking out six and walking none.

At Guilford, Kari Vance fired a one-hitter, striking out 11 and walking four to power the Lynx of Lincoln.

Kylie Allen doubled and singled twice for Mattanawcook Academy. Chelsea McCasserly singled three times. Desirae Haines singled twice and drove in two runs, while Lacey Whitney hit a two-run single.

Greta Korsman struck out six for the Pirates. Lacie Hanscome singled.

Danielle Clark tallied the lone hit for the Warriors of Newport.

Buddy Leavitt hit a solo home run and singled for Piscataquis. Randy Burgess hit a two-run triple in the seventh and Ben Smith added two singles.
