Public hearings planned for SAD 77 budget talks

EAST MACHIAS – The first of two public hearings on the proposed SAD 77 2001-02 budget will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at the Elm Street School.

The second hearing will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, immediately preceding a districtwide vote on the budget at 7 p.m. All residents of the four SAD 77 towns – Cutler, East Machias, Machiasport and Whiting – are encouraged to attend the meetings.
