Who should apologize?

This is in reference to the letter, “Time for apologies” (BDN, April 25).

In her letter, Bobbie Lehigh said that Maine committed itself to protect and preserve the Allagash Wilderness Waterway and signed an agreement in 1970 with the federal government to keep the Allagash as close to wilderness as possible.

I think if anyone should apologize, it’s those who allowed LD 1761 to be considered in the first place.
