LEWISTON – Krissie Whiting pitched a two-hitter in the second game as Bates won 2-1 to sweep a college softball doubleheader against St. Joseph’s on Monday.
In the first game, Brooke Tardiff drove in the game-winner on an infield grounder, giving Bates a 6-5 victory.
Krissie Whiting and Laura Lent both had RBI singles for the Bobcats.
Kelly Premo had three home runs for St. Joseph’s of Standish while Cortney Sirois had a two-run double.
In the second game, Cami Dyson hit a game-tying RBI single, while Anna Wulffleff had a run-scoring double to plate the winning run.
Premo had a home run for St. Joseph’s.
