BUCKSPORT – Warren Chase’s two-out single in the seventh scored Marcus Boober to give the Bucksport Golden Bucks a 4-3 schoolboy baseball victory over the Mount Desert Island Trojans Tuesday.
Jason Harvey and Chris McHale combined on a six-hitter for Bucksport, with McHale pitching four innings of shutout relief.
Chase added another single for the winners, while Adam Sheehan provided a run-scoring double in the third, an RBI single in the sixth and scored the tying run.
Brandon Colbeth paced Mount Desert Island with a double and a single (1 RBI) and Travis Tripp singled in two runs in the third. Rob McLaughlin scattered three hits and fanned five in his six-inning stint before John Dow pitched the seventh.

Ron Dube singled to start the sixth and pinch runner Mike Violette was sacrificed to second by Al Glossian before reaching third on an infield error and scoring on the Merritt bunt.
Merritt (RBI), Bo Thomas (RBI), Pat Skall and Tom Round had two singles each and Ryan Levesque had a two-run single.
