Colleen Adams of Brewer has been chosen as Kennebec Valley Technical College’s Student of the Year. Adams, an occupational therapy student, has maintained a 3.93 grade point average and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.
Adams, a wife and mother of two, travels daily from Brewer to the college in Fairfield to obtain her education. Adams will graduate in May. Her first priority is to complete successfully the certification boards.
Once she has obtained certification, Adams intends to pursue a full-time job in a practice environment that fully embraces the philosophy and approaches of occupational therapy.
