Central High School, Corinth
CORINTH – Central High School Principal William Connors has announced honor parts for the Class of 2001. Commencement will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 10, at Central High School gymnasium.
Valedictorian is Laurel Parker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Parker of Bradford. She is a member of the National Honor Society, received the Maine Principals’ Association Award and the Xerox Award, and has been active in the Health Club and as a peer mediator. She was on the math team four years and the Envirothon team for three. She was manager of basketball and softball teams. She will attend the University of Maine, Orono, to study biology.
Salutatorian is Jessica Wain, daughter of Fred and Melody Wain of Corinth. She is a member of the National Honor Society, was a cheerleader, editor of the 2001 yearbook, and manager of the boys soccer team. She took part in drama and was a student tutor. She also took part in the Maine Career Advantage program. She will attend the University of Maine, Orono, to study business administration.
