Day care defense

I’m seeing red. Yes, there are bad day cares. I’ve received children from them. There are great day cares. I know of them.

Don’t mistake me for a baby sitter. I am a daycare provider. My 13-year-old daughter is a baby sitter.

Aggressive behavior isn’t learned at my day care. Love, sharing and being responsible for your choices are what we learn.

We celebrate every occasion imaginable. Even our dog has a birthday party. We are more than ready to start school when the time comes. We praise each other and cry together. We fight like brothers and sisters, but use words to work out our problems.

We mix and mingle outside of day care and keep in contact with children who no longer needed day care. We have many opportunities because of day care. We visit places, we ride trains, we know all about fire and we even welcomed Santa from a helicopter.

Not only are the children friends, real friends, but the parents are also. Anyone can have a child, but it takes a day care provider and parents to raise them. My day care door is always open. Grandparents often stop by just to say hi.

Are day cares bad? No, just some providers.
