Easton High School

EASTON – Graduation ceremonies will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, June 8, at Easton High School.

Jeffrey Blackstone, son of Barbara and Douglas Blackstone of Easton, is valedictorian. He played varsity soccer and basketball, was on the math team, Envirothon team, FFA and varsity club. He was a member of the National Honor Society and for two years was its secretary, and for one year vice president of the FFA. He is class president, National Honor Society vice president, FFA president, and is on the U.S. Navy Scholastic All America soccer team and McDonald’s All Academic basketball team. He is on the All Aroostook All Star Basketball team. He will attend the State University of New York at Cobleskill to study agricultural engineering.

Salutatorian is Matthew Osgood, son of Ann and Thomas Osgood of Easton. He played varsity basketball, soccer and volleyball and was a member of the band, chorus, jazz choir and All Aroostook chorus four years. He was a member of the All Aroostook All Star Basketball team and the UMPI/Community Band, math team, student council, French club, varsity club and the National Honor Society. He is NHS president. He also received the MPA Principal’s Award. He will attend the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo.

First honor essayist is Johnna Lovely, daughter of Sally and Patrick Lovely of Easton. She has served as varsity basketball and soccer manager, been on the math team, French club and FCCLA. She is president of the FCCLA and French club and senior class secretary. She is NHA secretary and has helped type the newly aligned curriculum for the Easton School Department. She will attend Thomas College to study international business.

Second honor essayist is Ryan Lamoreau, son of Patricia and Merle Lamoreau of Easton. He played varsity basketball, soccer and volleyball for four years and is a member of the All Aroostook All Star Basketball team. He is a member of the math team, varsity club, French club, FFA, National Honor Society and student council. He is treasurer of the student council and president of the varsity club. He was a member of the All Aroostook Chorus all four years and for two years was a member of the All State Chorus. He played with the UMPI/Community Band and is a volunteer of the Easton Fire Department. He will attend the University of Maine at Presque Isle to study business administration after serving in the armed forces.
