Lakers swamp Averill Beavers

GREENVILLE – The Lakers rolled over Averill of Hinckley in both games of a Saturday softball doubleheader, 12-6 and 22-21.

In game one, Jill Bouley doubled and stole two bases for the Lakers as Laura Blair also doubled.

Brittany Raucher notched a solo home run, a double, and a single to lead the Beavers of Hinckley.

In game two, Lauren Dallam singled to bring in Stephanie Fiumenero in the bottom of the seventh for Greenville. Diane Aucoin homered and singled twice with two RBIs.

Brittany Raucher led Averill with four singles with three RBIs as Tabby Quintal ripped three singles with three RBIs.

Caribou takes two over Orono

At Caribou, Caribou notched 38 runs in two wins over Orono, 22-10 and 16-3.

In game one, Jamie Landeen ripped two triples and a double with four RBIs for the Vikings.

Emily Reed notched a grand slam and a single for the Red Riots while Katherine Erb doubled and singled.

In game two, Megan Cole-Karagory notched two doubles and a single for the Vikings.

Sarah Marquez led the Orono attack with an RBI single as Molly Dupere and Sarah Scott each ripped a single and scored a run.

Hampden sweeps Presque Isle

At Presque Isle, Hampden notched two wins over Presque Isle in a doubleheader, 3-2 and 7-0.

In game one, the Broncos scored all three of their plays on Presque Isle errors while Emmy Russell doubled and Katie Lindeman singled.

In game two, Emmy Russell belted a double and a single with three RBIs for the Broncos while Lindeman singled twice with two RBIs.

At Presque Isle, Presque Isle put away Hampden twice in a doubleheader, 4-0 and 4-3.

In game one, Marcus Nadeau pitched a shutout and doubled and singled with an RBI for the Wildcats while Fred Bird ripped a two-RBI single.

Eric Libby led the Bronco attack with a double and a single.

In game two, both Marcus Nadeau and Jonas Bard cracked a double and a single as Josh Gale singled twice with an RBI for Presque Isle.

Randy Oliver notched two singles for Hampden while Matt Jackson and Andrew Williams each belted doubles.

Orono notches two over Caribou

At Caribou, Orono swept Caribou in both games of a doubleheader, 8-2 and 15-2.

In game one, Mike Merritt, Daryl Watson, and Derek Sinclair each belted two singles for the Red Riots.

Travis Beaulieu paced the Viking attack with two singles and an RBI.

In game two, Todd Ellis ripped a home run and two singles for Orono while Brian Caggiano also homered and Mike Merritt doubled twice and singled with three RBIs.

Travis Snell added two singles as Travis Bealieu and Adam Fowler each nailed RBI doubles for the Vikings.

Chris Walker and Aaron Sutton each notched a single for the Ponies.
