Abigail Anthony, a sophomore at Bates College in Lewiston, earned her second career All-America honor Thursday night when she finished sixth in the 10,000-meter run in the NCAA Div. III Track and Field Championships at Milliken University Decatur, Ill.
Anthony, the New England champion at 10,000 meters, finished in 36 minutes, 35.18 seconds, the second-best time of her career. Casey Smith of Roanoke College in Salem, Va., won in 35:05.63.
She also placed sixth in the 10,000 run last year to earn her first All-America honor.
