ELLSWORTH – A city official says an equipment failure in the city’s street sweeper means residents will have to put up with dirty and dusty streets a bit longer than usual.

City Manager Tim King said in a statement the sweeper may be up and running by early next week.

“We strive to have all the streets swept by Memorial Day weekend,” King said. “I am sorry this happened.”
