Gatorade Thirst Quencher, in partnership with Scholastic Coach and Athletic Director magazine, announced Greg Creek of Readfield’s Maranacook Community High School as Maine’s High School Baseball Player of the Year.
The award is given to a player in each state where a formal baseball program exists. Creek, who batted .520 and recorded a 2.25 ERA on the mound, is active in the Big Brother program and is on the National Honor Society at Maranacook.
Creek will attend the University of Maine in Orono in the fall.
