BANGOR – A parole revocation hearing has been set for June 7 in U.S. District Court for James Farnham, a Garland man convicted of aiding and abetting an attempted armed robbery who was recently arrested for violating conditions of supervised release.
Farnham, 24, was arrested earlier this month after he failed to report to probation officials that he had quit his job and moved away from his Portland residence.
Farnham had served three years in prison for his role in an attempted robbery beginning in 1996 and was given three years of supervised release. On July 17, 2000, Farnham was involved in a four-hour standoff with Bangor police after barricading himself in an apartment on Bolling Drive.
Farnham was the driver of a getaway car involved in a botched bank robbery in Corinna in 1996. He is currently being held at Penobscot County Jail.
