Hermon High School

Mavis Morse, daughter of Joseph and Susan Morse of Hermon, is one of three top honor students in the Class of 2001 at Hermon High School. She ranks second in her class in grade point average, is a National Honor Society member and president of the Student Council. She took part in tennis, Stage Band, Senior Play, One Act Play, Spanish Club, yearbook, Class Night, Hiking Club and chorus.

She is one of two students awarded the University of Maine Top Honors Scholarship and will attend the College of Santa Fe, Santa Fe, N.M., to study filmmaking.

Graduation exercises will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, June 8, at the Bangor Auditorium.
