Chester E. and Janet I. Smith will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house for friends and relatives from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 24, at 771 Main St, East Corinth. The couple were married June 27, 1951, in Dover-Foxcroft by the Rev. John W. Merisuer.

A one-room schoolhouse reunion will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 23, at the Troy Grange Hall. In January 1951 all area one-room schools were consolidated into what is now Troy Central in SAD 3.
