HOULTON – Police are investigating an early morning burglary Thursday at Ken’s Store on Calais Road.

The store is equipped with a burglar alarm, which was activated at 2:24 a.m., according to Houlton Police Chief Darrell Malone.

Officers Carolyn Crandall and Matthew Quint responded to discover that someone had broken a window in the ice cream dairy bar section of the store to gain access. No one was found in the store.

Malone said Thursday that it had not been fully determined what had been taken, but it appeared some cigarettes might have been stolen.
