NEWPORT – Bo Thomas hit two RBI singles to lead the Orono-Old Town Twins to a 6-3 victory over the Sebasticook Storm in American Legion baseball action Tuesday.
Brian Tewhey had a triple, single, and drove in a run for the winners. Ryan Brown had two singles.
Eric Saucier had a pair of hits, a double and a single, for Sebasticook. He drove in a run. Shawn Henderson also had a double and a single.

At Ellsworth, Mike Cowperthwaite tossed a one-hit shutout, striking out five and walking two as the Acadians blanked the Navigators.
Check Wingo had two singles for Trenton. Chris Sargent knocked in three runs, hitting a single and a double. Josh Gray nailed an RBI single, and Chad Gray put out two singles.
Derek Sawyer’s bloop single was Penquis’ lone hit.

At Belfast, Shawn Bouchard’s run-scoring double and RBI singles by Chris Bombardier and Kevin Proctor keyed a three-run fifth inning that expanded a 6-5 lead and gave Bangor some breathing room.
Andy Tremble hurled five innings of four-hit, three-run relief to notch the win.
Bouchard had two singles to go with his double for the Comrades, Andrew Sullivan had a two-run homer and a single and Jimmy Shea contributed two singles and two RBIs.
Ben Relyea had a double and two singles for Waldo and Keith Fuller had a single and a bases-loaded walk. Each drove in two runs.
