Waterville’s Abigail Spector moved past Laura Torrisi of Massachusetts to take a one-shot lead into the final round of the New England Women’s Golf Association Championship tournament at the Walpole Country Club on Wednesday.

Spector, who will be a junior at the University of North Carolina in the fall, shot a five-over-par 76 for a two-day total of 151, nine over par. Torrisi fashioned a 78 for a 152. She is alone in second place. There are two golfers at 153 and two more at 154.

Alyssa Hayes of Cape Elizabeth, who will be a sophomore at East Carolina, was tied for 23rd with a 166; Leavitt’s Emily Allen was tied for 39th at 171 and the other Maine women to make the cut was Nicole Fillion of Cumberland Center who was tied for 70th at 183. Winthrop’s Marja Hatfield missed the cut with a 188.
