ELLSWORTH – Roger Cole hit three singles and drove in two runs to carry undefeated Orono-Old Town to a 7-4 American Legion baseball victory over Trenton Monday.

Brad Goody and Mike Merritt followed up with a single each.

Brandon Colbeth led Trenton with two singles, a double and an RBI. Derek Awalt hit a double and a single, and Jacob Lowell knocked in two runs on a single.

Penquis 16, Calais 6

At Calais, Bryan White hit a grand slam in the second inning and Ben Smith added a three-run shot to carry Penquis past the Suns.

Bill Kane continued with four singles for Penquis.

Steve Colbeth notched a solo home run for Calais, and Scott MacDonald drove in two runs on a double. Cliff Urquhart tripled.

At Belfast, Brian Hawthorne drove in two runs on a triple in the seventh inning to give the Sebasticook Storm the victory. Steve Kennedy followed up with an RBI single.

John Bonney notched a double and a single for the Waldo County Wildcats. Keith Fuller contributed two singles.
