Salad days

The Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts in Newcastle will hold its annual Salad Days fund-raiser from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. For a $15 donation, visitors will receive a handmade earthenware salad plate made by a Watershed resident artist and pile it high with a selection of fruit and vegetable salads prepared by Watershed artists and local restaurants. Local musicians will play at the event, ceramic art from around the country will be on sale, and visitors can tour Watershed’s studios and 32 acres of meadows, woods and gardens. For information, call 882-6075 or visit www.watershedcenterceramicarts.org.
