Spray graffiti at the Mary Snow School in Bangor may cost as much as $400 to remove, a school employee reported to police. The damage was discovered about 7 a.m. Thursday at the school at 435 Broadway.

The back of the building and a Dumpster had been sprayed with the words “BigJ,” “Xman,” “nocturnal” and others.

Police recovered three spray cans, which had been bought at a local chain store. The brick walls may require sandblasting to remove the paint.

Bangor police reported that a boy’s stunt bike valued at $125 was stolen from a Boyd Street home between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday. The bike is a blue single-speed with a broken chain.

Manuel A. Cornejo, 23, of Langley Street, Bangor, was summoned to court for operating a motor vehicle after license suspension Thursday on Union Street at the scene of a motor vehicle accident. Cornejo produced a Maine driver’s license that police discovered had been suspended. A court date of Aug. 10 was set for a hearing.

Bangor police reported that a summons for domestic assault was served on Karen Simpson, 34, at the Washington County Jail Thursday afternoon. A court date of Aug. 3 was set for the hearing.

Sharon Gardner, 21, of Bangor was arrested Thursday on a warrant charging she failed to pay a fine for operating under the influence of intoxicating liquor. A hearing date was set for Aug. 26.

Gary P. Chessa Jr., 22, was arrested on a warrant for unpaid fines for disorderly conduct on Thursday morning when police discovered him and two other people sleeping in a car parked on Second Street in Bangor.

When Chessa was asked for identification, the unpaid fine was discovered. Chessa said he slept in the friend’s car after being evicted from his apartment on Second Street the night before.

Heavy rains and bad visibility were blamed for a minor accident Thursday afternoon at the Brewer 1-Stop gas station on North Main Street, Brewer police said.

Mary Okenfuss of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., was backing a pickup truck toward the gas pumps about 2:30 p.m. when she struck one and knocked nozzles off their perches onto the pavement. Officer James Moffatt said that damage was very minor.
