Comrades edge Falcons

BANGOR – Bill Chapman scored Kevin Proctor on an RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning, leading Bangor to a 10-9 American Legion baseball win over Brewer at Mansfield Stadium Friday afternoon.

Proctor pounded out three singles and a triple while Chapman had an additional single, double and an RBI. Andy Treadwell hit a double and two singles for and RBI while P.J. Dowe had two singles.

For Brewer, Joel Barrett had an RBI on three singles while Jason Work hit two singles for an RBI. Abram Allard and Joe Griffin each had RBI singles.

Orono 5, Waldo 4

At Old Town, Brian Tewhey hit a two-run single in the bottom of the fifth to give Orono the win.

Shaun Tidwell also had a two-run single.

For Waldo, Pasco Grove had an RBI double and a single while Chris Carmen hit a two-run single. Ben Relyea added two singles.
