COCOA BEACH, Fla. – The Maine Icebreakers AAU boys basketball team finished in the top eight at the ages 15-and-under National Invitational in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

The team, comprised of 13-year olds from Maine, lost 55-46 in their game on Thursday against the Durham Heat (N.C.). Mark Socoby scored 20 points and had 12 rebounds, and Eric Sobey recorded 10 points and eight rebounds for the Icebreakers.

Icebreakers dropped a game Friday, losing 73-57 to the Western Kentucky Warriors. Mark Socoby led with 24 points and 16 rebounds, Eric Nelson had 13 points and eight assists, and Daniel McCue recorded 11 points and seven assists for the Icebreakers.
